When I was young, I used to be bullied a lot for being fat. I was called a “whale/balyena”, and was teased that “nothing will fit you”. In my eyes, I used to think any dress does not seem fitting to because of my body, and I felt a bit ashamed of myself. But today, I am out of my shell, and I realized that just because you are “fat”, it doesn’t mean you’re not beautiful. It’s time that the “not looking good or ‘fit’ enough” mentality be finally put out. I love the way I am, and we don’t need to be insecure of ourselves nor think that we are not socially acceptable. We are all beautiful in our own unique way and we all deserve to be confident in ourselves. Chubby is the new sexy.
